Tommy & Jacqueline have been playing as a duo for over thirty years. London born Jacqueline is daughter of West Clare piper and concertina player Tommy McCarthy. Jacqueline’s debut solo album “The Hidden Note” was released in 1999 and features her family with Tommy Keane and Alec Finn. Tommy, born in Waterford, has played on over 40 albums with artists as diverse as Clannad, The Clancy Brothers, Dé Dannan and The Pogues. In 1991 he released a solo album “The Piper’s Apron” and in 1995 a duet album “The wind among the reeds” with Jacqueline, that received the “Album of the Year” award from New York’s Irish Voice newspaper. Based in Co. Galway they are married with two children and are involved in teaching traditional music throughout the county and also in demand to teach and perform at many events in Ireland and the U.S.
